Morning Daylight Resources
The reason getting morning sunlight into your eyes (without sunglasses, a window, or windshield in your way) is listed as a habit is because it helps you set your circadian rhythm. This simple habit enables you to feel more energized during the day and sleep better at night.

Using Light for Health –Huberman Lab
You only need 5-10 minutes of direct sunlight exposure on a sunny day and 15-20 minutes on a cloudy day. Morning light from the sun first thing is ideal, but if getting direct sunlight into your eyes first thing in the morning is too difficult for you either due to weather or scheduling issues, the next best thing you can do is use a daylight-stimulating lamp so I am listing some great options below.
Daylight Stimulating Lamp Recommendations:
- I love and use this light therapy lap from SUXIO as it is rechargeable, meaning you don’t need to worry about being near an outlet to use it, making it really flexible. You can also pick your light level going up to 10000 Lux, and it has timer features as well.
- If you prefer a bigger and brighter light therapy daylight stimulating lamp, this 12000 Lux lamp from LASTAR seems to be a great option.
- Suppose you are looking for something a little bit more decretive. There are some good options from VUSIHOO that also come with remotes.
When getting light therapy from a light therapy device instead of the sun, you want to aim for at least 30 minutes of exposure as close to your wake-up time as possible. To get adequate light therapy, you want to keep it about a foot away from your face, but you want to avoid staring directly at it and instead have it off to the side in your peripheral vision.
On the mornings, I am not able to get morning sunlight in. I like to set a daylight-stimulating lamp next to me at my desk during my first hour of work. I also always like to use and turn on this ring light that is clipped to my computer on its brightest setting during my morning work as well.
The key is to be exposed to bright, cooler shades of light, especially overhead light, in the mornings to wake yourself up. In the evening, do the opposite, using dim, warmer shades of light at lower levels to signal to your body to start producing melatonin.
Workout Resources
To get a great resistance/strength training workout in, don’t feel your only option is to join a gym with heavy weights and machinery. Although you certainly can if that is your preference. For the people who prefer or only have the time and resources to workout at home, do not underestimate the incredible strength training benefits you can get from using resistance bands, kettlebells, dumbbells, and/or body weight.
- These resistance bands with removable handles let you get progressive overload by increasing the weight of the band or by combining different bands. With these bands, you can get resistance levels ranging from 10-100 lbs. easily with no expensive equipment and from the comfort of your own home. This set also includes ankle straps, a door anchor, and a training poster. There are a few different color options as well.
- A set of stretch loop bands like these fabric ones is also essential for workouts targeting more of the lower body and glutes. For a slightly less expensive alternative, these plastic resistance loop bands also work well and come with five bands ranging from 5-10 lbs. with the X-Light and 30-40 lbs. with the X-Heavy. I prefer fabric because they are less likely to slip.
- Kettlebells are also great for getting a good resistance workout at home. The company Yes4All offers some good starter kettlebell sets.
- Suppose you want to workout with weights from home and want to have more versatility than just resistance bands and kettlebells. This adjustable 4 in 1 dumbbell set from FEIERDUN is an excellent option. Not only can you adjust the weight, but they can be used as dumbbells, a barbell, kettlebells, or as a push-up stand. They are giving you a ton of bang for your buck while minimizing the need for lots of storage space.
If you need more guidance, I created a workout playlist on YouTube featuring strength training workouts ranging from 10-30 (avg. 20) minutes using resistance bands, kettlebells, dumbbells, or body weight so you can learn different techniques and use what you have available to you at home.

Mindfulness Resources
I curated a collection of different mindfulness practices via a YouTube playlist, including guided meditations, restorative yoga, yoga nidra, NSDR (non-sleep deep rest), and deep breathing practices averaging around 10 minutes so you can pick the type of daily mindfulness practice that best benefits you or feel free to mix it up.

Nutritional Plan Resources
Meal planning and prepping food for the week ahead is one of the best things you can do to help you stick to your nutritional plan. Food prep does not have to mean eating the same thing every day and pre-portioning all your meals into containers at the beginning of the week. Although you can meal prep like that if it works well for you.
It can also be as simple as just every time you cook a meal, making sure you have leftovers so you are cooking only 2-3x per week. Also, have some staples on hand for making meals throughout the week that are quick and easy to come together. So maybe once a week, you cook a big pot of rice or other grains and cook some chicken to have on hand, but you use different sauces and flavorings throughout the week, adding some fresh or frozen veggies.
Below are some helpful links to make meal planning and prepping through the week a little bit easier.

40+ Best Meal Prep Ideas and Recipes
Some of my favorite go-to sources for healthy meal prep/planning ideas and recipes are Downshiftology, Feelin’ Fabulous with Kayla Chandler, and if you are vegan or just want more plant-based options, Pick Up Limes. They each have YouTube channels as well if you prefer to get ideas that way.
Having some healthy snacks you know you enjoy on hand can also make eating healthier throughout the week more enjoyable.

Printing Resources
Here is a good article on how to print a document when you don’t own a printer.
You can always consider an inexpensive printer as an option like this one as well if you think printing is something you will want to do in the future.
I recommend if you print the RevMe tracking templates to, use a clipboard, ideally with a pen holder, to keep it convenient and easy to access.
I am also a big fan of and highly recommend the FriXion Clicker Erasable Pens.
If you are going to print the daily journal pages, I recommend printing them front and back, using a three-hole punch, and putting them in a binder. Or you can purchase a pre-printed copy of the daily journal here.
If printing the RevMe tracking templates really isn’t a good option for you, remember you can easily access them and fill them in from any device through Google Drive by logging into your Gmail or Google Acct. To access them through your phone or other devices, download the Google Drive, Google Sheets and/or Google Docs apps. I also recommend uploading your filled out worksheets to your RevMe Challenge folder in Google Drive for easy access as well.
Suppose you want to use an electronic signature in the commitment section of your ideal me worksheet.SignWell offers up to three digital signatures a month for free.
That’s all for now. Thanks for being here!
